A reverse glass painting by Keisuke Serizawa (芹沢銈介, 1969)
This reverse glass painting depicting books, I put on the wall at the entrance of my study. It is by Keisuke Serizawa (1895-1984), who was a Living National Treasure (aka Preserver of Important Intangible Cultural Properties) for his katazome stencil dyeing technique (型絵染). It is a small and nice piece to mark the entrance to a private libary.
